Elementary School Resources

Response to Instruction and Intervention (RtII) is a three-tiered prevention strategy to enable early identification and support for students at academic or behavioral risk. Careful monitoring, communication with families, and the use of various programs can help students achieve success. Parent educators are to insure to insure that grade-level specific diagnostic or benchmark assessments and instruction are administered, as scheduled. The following programs and services are available to each student based on their academic needs.

Connecting to online programs offered by PA Cyber is easier with Clever with their own personalized portal. Teachers and students will be able to find digital resources they need for class, homework help and research in one, central place. Clever is set up and managed by PA Cyber staff – so every resource a student sees in Clever has been selected by their teacher and principal. When a student uses Clever, they can access any learning program with their PA Cyber username and password. You are just one click away from joining PA Cyber’s community of learners.

Boom Cards

Boom Cards are interactive, self-checking, digital task cards.


BrainPOP & BrainPOP, Jr

Animated educational site for kids in the areas of science, social studies, English, math, arts, music, health, and technology.



Classkick lets teachers create and share assignments, monitor students, and give feedback in real time.


Coach Digital Compass

Select students working with a Title I Coach will utilize this teacher-directed content for instruction, reinforcement, and practice.


PA Cyber students in grades K-2 participate in an online reading benchmark three times each year to assess student grade-level proficiency. This tool may be utilized by an Academic Intervention Specialist as an alternative screening tool to obtain additional reading data for students.


Edmentum | ELL Foundations Library

Designed to accelerate English language development (ELD) for English language learners. Each lesson contains activities and reading selections for students, as well as online lesson plans, worksheets, and printable handouts for teachers.


Edmentum | Exact Path

Students in grades K-8 will participate in Exact Path’s math and reading Diagnostic Assessments twice a year to identify student needs for remediation or growth. All students will be asked to engage in Exact Path Instruction to move them from one instructional level to the next. For optimal results Exact Path’s Instruction should be completed 30 minutes weekly. Math and reading teachers along with the support of an Academic Intervention Specialist will monitor progress to determine if students are on track to achieve year-end targets.


Edmentum | Reading Eggs

ELD learners will completed animated lessons where they learn essential reading and phonics skills. Children will gain confidence by having access to over 2000 levelled books where they earn rewards by completing lessons and quizzes.


Edmentum | Study Island

PA Cyber students in 4th & 8th grade Science, English 10, Biology and Algebra I will be administered the Study Island Benchmark to assess student proficiency of Pennsylvania Core Standards. Students preparing for the PSSA or Keystone Exams will be routinely engaged in online interactive games, flash cards, and videos. Prior to state testing students are highly encouraged to complete all topics in each subject area for their grade level.


FEV Tutor

PA Cyber students in grades 3-12 are encouraged to attend daily FEV Tutor’s dynamic private tutoring for a weekly remediation session or on-demand homework help. These sessions are grade-specific in the subjects of math, science, language arts, and social studies.







Flocabulary Plus

Flocabulary is a learning program for all grades that uses educational hip-hop music to engage students and increase achievement across the curriculum.


A peer tutoring program in which a high achieving 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student tutors 3rd-8th grade students. Each tutor works independently with a student online to prepare him or her for the Math (3rd-6th grade sessions), ELA (3rd & 7th grade sessions) and/or Science (4th & 8th grade sessions) PSSA exam. Each tutoring session is supervised by a PA Cyber teacher. Students’ progress is monitored throughout the program and any significant concerns are reported to parents. Each IMPACT session meets once a week online for ten weeks beginning in January and ending in March. Peer tutoring not only increases test scores and academic performance but helps increase self-esteem and social interaction.



IXL is a personalized learning platform that is proven to improve learning outcomes for all students. IXL uses insights from student work in the curriculum and the real-time diagnostic to power personalized guidance for every learner.


Learning A-Z | ELL Edition, RazPlus and Vocabulary A-Z

Students in grades K-5 will be provided access to hundreds of e-books to practice reading oral fluency skills. Corresponding eQuizzes test comprehension, providing teachers with skill reports for data driven instruction. Students assigned to a Title I Coach may be introduced to these leveled readers to close academic gaps. Coaches will use these lessons, decodable books, passages, scripts, worksheet, and assessments to focus on phonological awareness, fluency and reading comprehension skills.



Nearpod is an online student engagement platform that is a great resource that teachers can use in class to help students learn. It allows the teacher to give students open-ended questions, travel on a virtual tour, poll or reply through a creative drawing. Nearpod Math is an additional resource connected via Nearpod.



Newsela is an Instructional Content Platform that brings together engaging, accessible content with integrated assessments and insights to supercharge reading engagement and learning in every subject. Content on Newsela covers topics students care about, that connect to core curriculum, and are aligned to standards.


PA Cyber Library

Created for students, parents, and staff for use in and out of the classroom. Available materials include training materials, eBooks, videos, guides, and physical resources. The PA Cyber Library also provides access to the materials available through PA Power Library.



PA Power Library

Ever since Benjamin Franklin founded the nation’s first public library, Pennsylvanians have been emPOWERed by their libraries—to research, study, learn, communicate, discover new interests, develop new skills, retool their careers, and find their pathway through life. In support of these endeavors, the State Library of Pennsylvania fostered the development and expansion of a statewide database of library catalogs, accessible from a single website on the Internet for all residents of Pennsylvania. POWER Library is a service of the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Pennsylvania Department of Education, and is hosted by HSLC.




Padlet is an online tool that is best described as an online notice board. Padlet can be used by students and teachers to post notes on a common page. The notes posted by teachers and students can contain links, videos, images, and document files.


Reading Rewards Program

PA Cyber students in grades K-6 participate in the Pizza Hut™ Book-It! program from October through March. This program encourages students to read each day and keep track of minutes, pages or books read each month; in return they earn a coupon to be redeemed for a free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut™. School Counseling

The School Counseling Department works with all students to ensure their potential is fully realized about academic, personal, social, and career development to achieve success in and out of the classroom. Counselors offer support in a variety of ways including individual, group, and classroom guidance. School counselors collaborate with community agencies, staff members, parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure that all students are empowered to create a quality life as they acquire knowledge, learn responsible behaviors, and are prepared to be lifelong learners.


Smore is an online newsletter service that offers advanced features as domain hosting and custom backgrounds for staff use only.



Sora has new content! Method Learning ACT/SAT content, All Access Comics, Magazines and other digital contents like eBooks, audiobooks, and read-a-loud books anytime, anywhere. PA Cyber has two collections that are slightly different than one another. Staff and Students use their school credentials to explore all resources. Email thelibrary@pacyber.org for support.


Student Assistance Program

Designed to assist school personnel in identifying issues that could pose a barrier to a student’s success. Some of these issues include, but are not limited to, social and family problems, alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, mental health concerns, and homelessness. Professionally trained SAP team members use school resources to remove barriers to learning. Email sap@pacyber.org for assistance.

Students Helping Students

Students in grades 7-9 are paired with students in grades 5-8 to improve interpersonal communication skills while increasing peer to peer interaction.



A digital character development and behavior intervention program for your school or district. Suite360 offers programs for students and parents as well as professional development for teachers, administrators, and school staff.

PA Cyber teachers are available to their students each week at a designated day and time to provide course support. Additional information is posted in each BUZZ course.

Title I Coach

A Title I coach provides a bridge for K-12 students who experience gaps in their reading and math development. Students in the program will be assessed by the Title I team which includes certified specialists in the fields of reading and math. The coach and Title I team will develop an individualized plan using ExactPath, Study Island, RazPlus, Vocabulary A_Z, IXL & Coach Digital Compass™ content for instruction, reinforcement and practice that will meet the needs of each student, while helping them obtain on-grade level skills. Student progress is measured regularly to ensure the effectiveness of the instruction they receive.


TutaPoint Tutoring

As a parent, you do your best to ensure your K-12 child is keeping up with his or her homework. But let’s face it, not every parent is a math 7, AP English or social studies expert. TutaPoint offers online homework help for students of all grade levels and ages in math, science, language arts, social studies, and world languages. TutaPoint provides the expertise of a professional educator to help your child succeed. Email interventions@pacyber.org to recommend a student for tutoring.
